DSC - Marvel Comics' Storm I usually rock a 2H or 4H lead when I draw, but someone swapped out my leads for a much softer one. I lost a lot of the detail/control I usually have but got a much sketchier look. Anyway, here's Storm from Marvel NOW's All-Female X-Men #1!
From www.dailysketchchallenge.deviantart.com Fantastic Four Friends & Enemies -- Spider-Man I went with the Future Foundation costume. Coulda went with bag head Spidey. This was all done digitally on the iPad with Bamboo Paper and Wacom's Intuos Creative Stylus.
Jimmy Hudson from Marvel's Ultimate Comics: X I just recently finished this series and I was quite impressed. I'm sad to hear that the Bi-Monthly schedule wasn't working but when you see the amount of detail that Art Adams throws into every issue I understand. The series was a really interesting set-up because it's an X-Men story that doesn't have Prof. X, Magneto, Cyclops, or Wolverine. I just don't understand why there isn't more fan art about this kid. He's the son of Wolverine. He's not a clone. He's not Daken (even though I collect Daken comics). In regards to his hoodie, I liken it to when kids find something out and then adopt it into their own culture. S.H.I.E.L.D. is essentially hunting all mutants down, but I would see this as Jimmy taking that symbol and owning it, making it his own so to speak. I'd say that it's like taking an urban legend and bringing it to light so that it doesn't have power over you anymore. Maybe I'm just reading more into it than I should. I was thinking of traditionally inking and then computer coloring this one. What do y'all think?
Commission featuring my representation of Moon Knight from Marvel's Ultimate Universe. This was done for a collector who had literally hundreds of Moon Knight images featuring countless talented professionals including many deviantArt members. It was truly an honor to be included into this collection. Many thanks to Chad Blakely for sending me a photo of this commission. Remember artists that attend conventions to bring your digital camera to save those commissions for posterity.
